The Sacred Pause and The Purpose Filled Pivot
How to Use inaction to Give Yourself the Life of Your Dreams
Are you a human being?
Or are you really a human doing? Checking things off your to-do list, getting everything done, achieving the next thing - without taking a moment to check in with yourself to see if all of your efforts are aligned with your dreams.
“Human doing” is living on autopilot, it can make you feel burnt out and stressed. Oftentimes, this default pattern is something you learned early on in life and you never questioned if it was adding to your fulfillment. While action is fantastic and is a huge part of success and momentum, it is detrimental if it sucks your soul dry.
The Sacred Pause…
A time of inaction, a time of being present. A gift to yourself to slow down, breathe, and become aware. Awareness is the only way to create your dream life- it’s a magical tool that you, as a human being, are given in this life.
You step into the Sacred Pause and increase awareness by asking great questions, like:
“Is all of this action serving a greater purpose in my life?”
“If I continue down this road, will it lead me to the cool and inspiring places that excite me?”
“Why am I doing what I am doing, is it for me to thrive or is it pure survival?”
“What will my life look like if I continue this way?”
Then listen to the answers you receive. Your heart and your gut will answer before your head does.
The Purpose-Filled Pivot…
A choice you make to course-correct, to change directions if needed (based on awareness gained from your Sacred Pause) in order to live with a deeper sense of purpose.
When you Pivot in a meaningful and intentional way that is directly related to the life you most want to live, it fills you up with hope. Then when you step back into action, you do so in a way that is energizing.
The Sacred Pause and the Purpose-Filled Pivot will allow you to combine the two energies of being and doing and will revitalize your soul.
You can use these tools throughout your day as micro-pauses and pivots- lasting a minute each time.
Or, you can take a day each month to pause and pivot.
Or, you can take a vacation or adventure.
The possibilities are endless.
Reply to this and let us know what answers you received from your Sacred Pause and what Purpose-Filled Pivots you will make.
In Happiness,
Julie & Michele
